The Center for Ecoliteracy became a long-time collaborative partner of Monstro’s when we started work with them on a campaign to bring freshly cooked meals to school kids across California.
After nearly a year, the Center helped school districts throughout the state implement a practice of fresh lunches for all students. Since then, they’ve worked hard to ensure all students in California can be provided with food without obligation. They continue to inspire with their important work.
Our work didn’t stop there. The mission to educate younger folks kept us working at creating accessible content that would make an impact.
After kicking off the California lunches campaign, the Center for Ecoliteracy and Monstro worked together to provide young people with knowledge about the food they eat, the role the environment plays in that and some interesting history about food.
This type of work was highly energizing, and I am grateful for every minute of the collaborative efforts that went into highlighting these important stories and efforts.
